It was a windy and rainy afternoon in Windsor, which had a big impact on the Southern Ontario derby match between Windsor TFC and FC London. The visitors eventually came out with a 3-1 win.

The less than ideal weather conditions made it difficult for both teams to move the ball around. Players had to be extra cautious to ensure the conditions did not force them into a mistake.

Windsor TFC's Mumbere (37') was the first to find a breakthrough, capitalizing off of a London mistake to give the home team a 1-0 lead.

Just moments before the break, Windsor also made a costly error which allowed Al-Sayed (45' + 1') to score easily and tie the game for FC London.

After the second half restart, FC London held most of the possession and created the best of the chances, and were able to break the deadlock when Wilson (67') scored off of a rebound.

London sealed the game just minutes from full-time when the wind took a deep cross from Al-Sayed (87') all the way into the back corner of the net for his second of the match.

FC London will return home to German Canadian Club, London later this week when they take on Aurora FC on September 14 (8:30 p.m.).

Windsor TFC will hit the road for their last game of the regular season as they travel to OSU Force's Quinn's Pointe, Ottawa ground on September 15 (4 p.m.).
