Darby FC men's team took on TFC III at Whitby Soccer Centre, Whitby - in a rare midweek fixture to begin Matchweek 10 - with TFC able to pull out the win after a three-goal second half surge that ended in a 5-2 final scoreline.

It was a very busy first half, TFC III keeping Darby's defence under pressure for the majority.

Darby was first to score after Vince Sasso placed an accurate ball over the top of TFC's defensive line, Kashiff DeJonge (13') reacting quickly and redirecting the ball into the net. This is De Jonge's second goal of the season. The first yellow of the game was awarded in the 18th minute to Darby player, Jonathan Parolini.

Darby's second goal of the game was scored after a great shot from Parolini (31'), but just a minute afterwards TFC came roaring back with their first goal of the game by Ralph Priso (32'), deposited into the bottom right corner.

The final goal of the first half happened just before the break, with TFC's Aikim Andrews (45') scoring from a low shot off a free kick, ending the first half in a 2-2 tie.

The second half started off with an early go-ahead goal from TFC III's Kunle Dada-Luke (51') before the Junior Reds began to dominate possession, keeping the Darby defence on their toes.

The fourth goal for TFC was scored by Zakaria Abdi (63') following a set play by Malyk Hamilton.

The first and only red card of the game was awarded to Darby player, Michael Di Rienzo, following a reckless tackle just outside his 18-yard box.

TFC III put the nail in the coffin with their final goal - Abdi's (85') second goal of the game.

TFC will play next in the leauge on Sunday July 29 (1 p.m.) against Pro Stars FC at BMO Training Ground & Academy.

Darby FC will play next on July 20 (8 p.m.) against Unionville Miliken S.C. at the Whitby Soccer Centre, Whitby.
