A brace from Ottawa South United's Myles Cornwall (17', 49') and a goal each from Unionville Milliken's Michael Fayehun (24') and Iyowuna Jumbo (59') set the stage for a very close match that would ultimately end in a 2-2 draw.

Ottawa South United started strong with a handful of shots in the first few minutes of the match. Seventeen minutes in, Cornwall scored his first of two goals, giving Ottawa South United the early lead.

Minutes later Unionville Milliken's Michael Fayehun came back with a quick goal (24') to even the score. The first half ended with an even 1-1 score.

Just four minutes into the second half, Unionville Milliken goalkeeper Adrian Ibanez was given a caution and Ottawa South United was awarded a penalty kick on the play. Cornwall capitalized on the opportunity and scored his second goal of the match to put his team up 2-1.

However, with a goal just ten minutes later, Unionville Milliken's Jumbo would even the score once again.

Ottawa South United applied the pressure late in the second half, with Cornwall coming close to a hat-trick if it weren’t for a diving save from Ibanez. Despite a number of late chances, they were unable to put a ball in the back of the net and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The goals from Unionville's Fayehun and Iyowuna were their first of the season.

This afternoon's match was the first of three straight home matches for Ottawa South United.
