Unionville Milliken SC hauled their way back into this Matchday Seven Saturday match at home to defeat Aurora 2-1 in a riveting contest.
The hosts jumped ahead with their first shot on target from Natalia Casiello (27').
She slipped behind Unionville's backline to power strike an unstoppable ball for the keeper. The goal shifted the tempo of the match, allowing Aurora to play with some ease and retain ball possession.
Aurora would find breakthroughs in the middle third, playing numerous through balls into good attacking areas.
However, Unionville made sure nothing was to come out of those plays with their rock solid defence holding off Aurora's attempt to get the securing goal.
In the 48th minute, Aurora came close to getting their second goal of the match with Samantha Murphy finding herself in a one-on-one battle with the keeper.
Murphy chipped the ball over Zuchetto but was unlucky as the ball went slightly wide and glanced off the post. Unionville made a quick clearance on the rebound and steered clear of any troubles.
Unionville pushed relentlessly throughout the second half as Aurora struggled to hold on.
The visiting side finally broke through Aurora's defence when Megan Short brought down a rival player in the penalty area.
Unionville's top goal scorer Natasha Klasios (67') stepped up to the penalty spot to equalize the match.
Both sides would fight for the winning goal, creating attacking opportunities with little success getting the ball on target.
Off a corner, the ball found a way to Sierra Henderson Muschett (77') who slotted the go-ahead marker for the hosts.
