Tre Crosby grabbed a brace (11' and 32') and Jarek Brome (14') put his name on the score-sheet as Unionville Milliken S.C. earned a 3-0 win over Pro Stars FC, who played much of the second half with ten men.
Both sides started the match off in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The first half was almost balanced, and both sides had almost the same possession, but Unionville was the team who created some chances and converted three of them. Pro Stars failed to meaningfully open up the rival's defence.
On 11 minutes, Tre Crosby found the net through a tap-in on a low cross from the right side. Just three minutes later, Jarek Brome doubled the lead for Unionville with a low drive from inside the box.
After that, Pro Stars made a substitution to change the game, but it was again Unionville who scored and again by Crosby, this time from the penalty spot.
Right after the goal, Pro Stars made another substitution, but their changes did not work as were perhaps expected as the game kept playing out in the same fashion, the half ending 3-0.
Just ten minutes after the beginning of the second half, Abbey Matty Kunrunmi made his second bookable offence and left Pro Stars down with only ten men for the final 35 minutes.
In the rest of this half, no real chance was created as Unionville seemed happy with the result and Pro Stars were unable to change the game circumstances, so ultimately, the match ended 3-0.
It was the first time in the season that Unionville kept a clean sheet.
On the other hand, it was Pro Stars' fourth defeat of the season conceding three goals in all of them.
Unionville Milliken S.C.'s next match is against Woodbridge Strikers on Saturday, June 16 (6 p.m.) at Bill Crothers Turf Centre.
Pro Stars FC will face Aurora FC at Stewart Burnett Park on Sunday, June 17 (4 p.m.).
