Alliance United banded together to score a trifecta of goals in a 3-1 win over Aurora FC at Centennial College on Sunday.

Aurora had the early lead, but it didn't last long as Milan Beader (28') dove for a header to equalize the game at 1-1. The tying goal was his third in the league season - five in all competitions.

Kevin DaSilva (54') gave Alliance the 2-1 lead after breaking through the defence for his first goal of the season. Anthony Sousa (90') put the game to rest, scoring the final goal as a substitute to ensure the home team was victorious.

Maximillian Ferrari (23') opened the scoring for Aurora, racing through on a breakaway and sliding the ball past the reach of goalkeeper Mark Rogal. But that was all the away team could muster as they remain winless in 2018.

The game got chippy between the two sides, and players got in each other's faces to offer some helpful words of advice. Four yellow cards were handed out in total - three to Alliance and one to Aurora.

In addition, Alliance's Lukas MacNaughton had to be substituted one minute before halftime due to injury.

Alliance United (2-1-1) sit in tenth place with seven points. Their three goals bring their goal differential to +4 (7 GF, 3 GA).

Alliance have a home game at L'Amoreaux on Sunday, June 17 (7:00 p.m.), when they will be hosting Master's Futbol.

Aurora FC (0-4-2) are 16th in the table with two points. Their goal differential drops to -6 (7 GF, 13 GA).

They return home to Stewart Burnett Park on Sunday, June 17 (4:00 p.m.) to face off against ProStars FC.
