A Milan Beader penalty (73') for Alliance wiped out an early Unionville Milliken S.C. goal, but Alliance United FC were unable to completely recover from Unionville's Richard West opener (14').

Both sides started the match off in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The first half was almost balanced, though Unionville had more possession and were the only side to score in the half.

Richard West (14') saw the Alliance's keeper Mark Rogal off his line and sent the ball into the back of the net with a nice lob from outside the box.

Eight minutes later, Alliance could have drawn level; Milan Beader received a cross from the left side and shot the ball past the on-rushing Unionville's keeper Lucas Birnstingl, but defender Michael Fayehune saved his side through a goal-line clearance.

Alliance had a better second half dominating the game and creating few real goal-scoring opportunities; conversely, Unionville sat back trying to keep their lead intact.

Beader was trying hard to put his name on the score sheet. Some minutes after nailing the post, finally he found the net through a penalty (73'), sending the keeper the wrong way.

After the goal, Unionville came forward though they seemed satisfied with the result.

On the other hand, Alliance kept pushing forward to get all three points, however, they couldn't take advantage of their chances before final whistle.

It was the first time in the season that either sides has got a draw.

Alliance United FC's next match is against Aurora FC on Sunday, June 10 (6:30 p.m) at Centennial College.

Unionville Milliken S.C. will face Pro Stars FC. at Bill Crothers Turf Centre on Sunday, June 10 (8 p.m).
