Darby FC took on the Toronto Azzurri Blizzards at Clarington Field for their first League1 Cup Game of 2018. The final score of this match was 3-1 for the Blizzards.

The first half was intense with both teams coming out strong. The first goal was scored by Toronto's Alicia Pallister (11') when a ball came across the net and was placed bottom right corner for the first goal of the game.

Just a few moments later in the 16th minute, Pallister wasn't finished when her shot from just outside of the 18 yard box went right over the goal and just under the crossbar.

Even though being down 2-0 before the 20th minute, Darby started to make a comeback with their first goal from Millinda Robiero (20') when she took on Blizzard keeper Michaela Hawthorn and placed the ball in the bottom left corner.

The second half of this game was a tough fight by both teams, very evenly matched. But in the 86th minute, Pallister finished off the game with her third of the night.

Her shot from distance dipped right under the crossbar and lifted Toronto to the next round of the Women's League1 Ontario Cup.

The Blizzard will take on Unionville-Milliken S.C in the quarterfinals. Match time and location will be announced shortly.
