The Oakville Blue Devils recorded a 1-0 victory against Aurora FC to maintain their unbeaten record.

Both sides came out guns blazing on a chilly night at Stewart Burnett Park in Aurora, but it was Oakville who struck first as striker Filipe Vilela (16') opened the scoring for the visitors when he was played in over the top and unleashed a thunderbolt past Aurora keeper Ryan Collins.

It was the Blue Devils who were again on the front foot in the 21st minute when Collins put in a late challenge on Oakville's Braden Culver resulting in a set piece for the visitors. However, Anthony Novak would send the ensuing freekick just over the bar.

Aurora registered their best chance of the match in the 58th minute when Dylan Rennie was found at the back post but sent his header narrowly wide.

Oakville nearly doubled their lead in the 78th minute when substitute Rajvir Kahlon rattled the crossbar from 25 yards out.

Aurora pressed for the equalizer late on, but an Oakville defence who have yet to concede a goal through four matches stood firm to see out the match and collect the three points.

With the result, Aurora move to 0-2-2 on the year, while Oakville improve to 3-0-1.

Aurora will host ProStars FC next on May 27 (7:00 p.m.) in Men's League1 Cup play.
