A total team effort from FC London men sent the home fans home happy on Friday evening as the Londoners won comfortably (3-1) over Pro Stars FC.

In the early going, the teams were trying to impose their style play.

FC London moved the ball around while Pro Stars FC looked for opportunities to spring the counter. Slowly but surely, FC London started to dictate the pace of the game as they were able to get balls out wide and drive forward in numbers.

In 33rd minute a yellow card against Pro Stars FC Abbey Kunrumni for a hand ball in the box gave FC London a penalty and the opportunity to take the lead. Randy Ribeiro (34') stepped up and calmly put the ball behind Pro Stars FC keeper Aaron Peters.

The yellow cards continued for Pro Stars as they had a hard time keeping up with FC London's movement with and without the ball. Another yellow card was handed to ProStars FC Michael Borowski in the 42' minute.

In the second half, FC London continued to control the possession, resulting in Parker Seymour playing a great ball over the top to free up Connor Wilson (65'), who was able to use his pace and accuracy to slot the ball past the Pro Stars keeper.

Physical play continued in the second half with two yellow cards being given to FC London (Marko Maletic and James Pucci) and three yellow cards to Pro Stars FC (Xhunejd Nexhipi, Jesse Okorie, and Owusu George).

FC London continued to push forward when the 80' minute substitute; Michael Sneddon (85') took the ball down the flank and worked his way into the box where Aaron Peters made the save but couldn’t control the ball, allowing Sneddon to put the rebound into the back of the net.

Pro Stars FC was able to break-up the clean sheet for FC London with a goal by Yuriy Klinovskyy (90'), which was unfortunate for FC London keeper Anthony Sokalski, who was agonizingly to a clean sheet on a night when he wasn't overly busy.

FC London will now shift their focus to the L1 Cup with a home game on Sat May 26 (7 p.m.) against Darby FC at German Canadian Club, London.

Pro Stars FC will also look to the L1 Cup as they take on Aurora FC on May 27 at Stewart Burnett Park, Aurora.
