Durham United FA women took on North Mississauga SC Friday night at Kinsmen Park and with a 3-0 win the home fans were left satisfied.

With this win, Durham United now sits second in the standings with three wins and a loss so far this season.

In the first half Durham dominated, scoring two goals in the first 20 minutes. First goal of the night came from Hollie Babut (13') and was the result of a great build-up by the Durham United team, and a perfect finish by Babut placing the ball in the low left corner.

Shortly thereafter, Durham United had a corner kick and Laura Gosse (20') timed her jump perfectly to direct a great header into the top right corner of the net.

With Mississauga GK Deanna Persico under pressure, she made two great back-to-back saves to keep her team in the game.

Just after the 4th official announced extra time, Durham striker Simmonds (90+ 1') had a breakaway, shooting the ball just high of the goalkeeper's reach into the far right corner.

North Mississauga will face the Oakville Blue Devils next on Saturday June 2 (8 p.m.) at Hershey Centre 1, Mississauga.

Durham United FA's next game will be against Darby FC on Friday June 1 (7:30 p.m.) at Kinsmen Park Large Turf, Pickering.
