A sharing of the points was necessary in the Matchweek 3 tilt between Woodbridge Strikes and FC London after a 2-2 final score.

London's Claire Larose (12') opened the scoring before Woodbridge's Tolani (22') cancelled out the early lead. Three minutes later, the defending League1 Golden Boot holder Jade Kovacevic (25') slotted her free kick effort into the top corner to give London the lead.

Before the half, tempers flared and both sides were on the receiving end of cautions.

London's Marisa Oliveira, within five minutes of being given a warning, was dismissed after receiving her second yellow. By half, Woodbridge had committed twelve fouls, while London committed ten fouls.

Woodbridge lasted eleven minutes into the second half before seeing one of their own players be dismissed.

In the 51st minute, Jayda Hylton-Pelaia received her second yellow, levelling the sides again in a ten v ten battle, but allowing London to hold on to their lead and play into their goal advantage.

In the closing minutes, one of Woodbridge's second half substitutes, Jessica Lisi (87'), found herself in a one on one battle with the keeper, and calmly slotted home the equalizer for the home side.

With the tie, Woodbridge Strikers and London FC share a record of 1-0-1 after the third match-week of the season.

Woodbridge will visit the Azzurri Village Main on May 20th (3:45 p.m.) to take on Toronto Azzurri Blizzard, who have yet to lock down a point in the season.

FC London will host the currently undefeated newcomers to the league DeRo United FC on May 19th (7:30 p.m.).
