Star forward Jade Kovacevic's (29', 37', 44', 46') four goals sent the FC London faithful home happy on Saturday, leading her team to a 5-0 blow-out victory over the Toronto Blizzard.

In the early goings, FC London were all over the Blizzard, with Kovacevic and Marissa Oliveria getting in on goal with chances in the sixth and tenth minute respectively.

A low Kovacevic free kick came close in the 21st minute, but two minutes later Julia Benati (23') managed to sneak a goal to give London a 1-0 lead.

That goal eventually opened the floodgates for Kovacevic, who started her onslaught when she was sent through and slotted a shot into the bottom-left corner of the Blizzard net in the 29th minute.

Kovacevic added a second goal in the 37th minute to make it 3-0 for FC London, taking the winds out of the sails for the Blizzards. The bleeding didn’t stop there though, as right before the half, Kovacevic managed to reel in an Ashley Campbell through ball, slotting it in to the bottom for a hat-trick and a 4-0 FC London lead.

Much of the second half became a lull in play, as in the 46th minute, Kovacevic scored her fourth goal of the game, making it 5-0 for FC London.

Tempers started to flair for the Blizzard near the end, with yellow cards issued to Gabby Paupst and Rebecca Bartosh of the Toronto Blizzard in the 69th and 72nd minutes respectively.

The Blizzard came extremely close in the 85th minute, but FC London defender Robyn Scott managed to make an incredible goal line clearance to preserve the clean sheet.

FC London will look to add to their first win of the season when they visit the Woodbridge Strikers on Sunday, May 13 (1:45 p.m.) at Vaughan Grove, Woodbridge.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Blizzard will look to bounce back from two losses in their first two games of the season, when they take on Aurora FC on Saturday, May 12 (4p.m.) at Stewart Burnett Park, Aurora.
