The Woodbridge Strikers started their season strong as Jenny Wolever (53', 93') scored both goals of the match, leading Woodbridge to a 2-0 win over West Ottawa.

Woodbridge started off strong, applying pressure deep in West Ottawa's end and getting three shots on target in the first five minutes of the match.

Woodbridge continued to dominate possession for much of the first half but both teams failed to put the ball in the back of the net as the half ended scoreless.

With the start of the second half, Wolever entered as a substitute and became the deciding player, scoring Woodbridge's first two goals of the season.

West Ottawa almost managed to keep Woodbridge's lead to one, but Wolever's late goal in added time increased their lead to two.
