Unionville Miliken SC start the season off with a win on the road as they edge out North Mississauga Soccer Club in a 3-0 battle after Natasha Klasios (12’, 71’) scored two goals in the season opener and leads her team to victory.
Unionville Miliken SC came out strong, with great scoring opportunities in the first half – notably five efforts, two that got past the North Mississauga SC keeper – and did not let up all half, pressing, earning corner kicks and forcing free kick opportunities.
North Mississauga SC goalkeeper Persico was kept busy in the second half as well, she made athletic saves and allowed her team to push forward in attack.
At the other end of the pitch, Unionville Miliken SC keeper Paraskevopoulos didn't have much to do as there was only one effort that reached target.

Klasios proved that she is an offensive threat, picking up right where she left off last season as the club leader in goals.
Unionville Miliken SC once again start their season off with a win and are currently behind Darby for top spot in the division. It will be interesting to see if they are able to replicate their strong 2017 start to the season, with a six game winning streak.
The loss was shocking to the North Mississauga SC side as they were ranked higher in their division after last season's stellar second place finish. However, this year's squad looks almost entirely new.
