Sigma FC and Windsor TFC Stars ended their respective seasons with a 1-0 thumping by Sigma as Michael Matic (45', 56', 64', 68', 76') found an incredible five goals in 30 minutes, Alex Halis (23', 66') had a brace and teammates Daniel Jodah (30'), Jordan Kalonji (40') and Kadell Thomas (49') put nails in the coffin.

Additionally, a clean sheet from Baj Mann ensured the result would only go one direction.

"We had a goal set as a team that we wanted to take the maximum six points from the final two matches of the season, and we wanted to do some good things in terms of scoring goals," said Sigma head coach, Bobby Smyrniotis.

"We thought we could finish as top goalscoring team in the league and we did that in these last two games knowing we couldn't catch Oakville in top spot."

"These last two wins shows the character of these guys in how they put in a complete effort."

Windsor TFC team official Darry Muscat said his young side were unable to cope with the Sigma attack but that positives could be taken as the team prepared for the following season.

"We are a very young squad and I think we lost some composure," he said.

"We looked a little lost and didn't really play as a team. We had some good stretches here and there but if you watch it, you can tell we weren't playing as a group."

"This whole late stage of the season is a period when we use what we have in youth to start out with for next year, so we are already in preparation for next season."

Sigma wrapped up their season on the outside looking into the playoffs despite having an outstanding record and statistics. The team was the overall league leader in many categories.

"The season was very good for our guys and I'm very happy for the work they put in," said Smyrniotis.

"We only lost one game and if we go back and look at how that was lost maybe it wasn't in the best way. I think we played the best football in the league this season, scoring a lot of goals and having a great defensive line. Sometimes in this game everything comes down to small, little particulars and unfortunately this year, one point at one stage and another point at another was what kept us from playing for a championship."

"You can't ask much more from these guys, they are fantastic, they are professional in their training, in their approach to games and how they handle things with opponents. We're happy overall. Although the only thing missing is that championship, we have to be happy with 55 points overall, second most in the league, scoring the most goals in the league and having the second best defensive record in the league. "

Sigma FC finish their season in second position in the west division, with 55 points and a record of 17 wins, one loss and four draws. The team was first for goals for (76), first for goals against (20) and first in goal difference (+56).

Windsor TFC Stars finish their season in sixth position in the west division, with 22 points and a record of six wins, 12 losses and four draws. The team was sixth for goals for (30), seventh for goals against (67) and sixth for goal difference (-37).
