A brace from Jose De Sousa (25', 50'), a single from Joey Melo (52'), and a clean sheet from keeper Daniel Gosciniak gave Masters FA Saints all the ingredients necessary for a perfect 3-0 home win over Toronto Skillz in Matchweek 23.

"It was one that we have been looking for, for some time," said Masters head coach, Rick Titus.

"We have been in some games where we have played well but not scored as many goals. It was nice to play a decent game and put some decent passing and technical plays together and get some good finishes from the guys. We hope to finish the season next week in the same fashion."

Toronto Skillz technical director Jake Doodnath was unhappy with the defensive collapse of his side within a short period, handing Masters two insurance goals that put the result out of hand.

"It was disappointing today," he said. "I don't think the result showed the level of the team. We gave up two really bad goals in the second half in one minute and after that we began to control the game much better. We have a young team and that is what you get with a young team sometimes."

"Two mistakes within one minute is hard, and it is hard to recover from," he added. "We learn and move on and take this knowledge into next season. We're looking to put a young, vibrant team on the field for the last game and see what happens."

Masters FA Saints will next play Durham United FA on October 7 at L'Amoreaux, Scarborough.

Toronto Skillz will next play Aurora FC on October 7 at St. Maximillion Kolbe HS, Aurora.
