A double for Masters FA Saints' Jose De Sousa (18', 48') and a single for Cisco Thomas (40') was enough to take the points home to Scarborough, in spite of a late tally by Windsor TFC's Celso Carapau (59').

"It's pretty much the story of our season right now," said Windsor head coach, Zibby Piatkiewicz.

"It looks like every single game we start really slow and can't put the ball in the net. We always wake up half-way through the second half and begin to put pressure on other teams and it was the same story today, once again."

"However [Masters] were pretty good on the counter-attack and they caught us off-guard a little bit from set-pieces, free kicks and stuff like that, he added."

"They play forward really quickly and they ended up with some early scoring opportunities and they put it away."

Masters showed the lethal finish they have cultivated in recent weeks, and owner Junior Groves said it was no less than what they deserved.

"These guys are clinical finishers, we have just been unlucky in a couple games," he said. "We also play a bit of an open style of football so sometimes we give up one or two also. We said today we wouldn't give away anything and we stuck to the plan until we got to three and then we backed off and let Windsor back in and score."

"I would say for eighty seven minutes we stuck to the plan. Our finishers can finish very well and you could see that today."

"We didn't know this park coming in, so our plan coming in was to give up nothing and to strike when we have opportunities. When we had opportunities we struck even though the goalkeeper made some brilliant saves. We attacked and we attacked with some precision and that was the game."

Windsor TFC Stars will next play North Toronto Nitros on July 9 at Varsity Stadium, Toronto.

Masters FA Saints will next play Sanjaxx Lions on July 5 at Ontario Soccer Centre, Vaughan.
