Kadell Thomas (31', 38') had a brace and teammates Justin Stoddart (56'), Manvir Brar (77'), Giuliano Frano (85') and Michael Matic (89') chipped in singles each as Sigma took a commanding 6-1 over Sanjaxx, and registered their fourth win in a row.

The victory puts Sigma squarely in charge of the men's west division, sitting on a maximum 12 points.

"Obviously it is a good start, four games and twelve points," said Sigma head coach, Bobby Smyrniotis.

"That is obviously what you come out here to do, but the guys have done well. We have prepared well for each and every match, and every team brings something different."

Despite the scoreline, Sanjaxx showed once again that they have turned a corner from previous seasons and developed into a force to be reckoned with in the west division. Nathaniel Rodney-Scarlett (67') landed the consolation marker for the Lions.

"Sanjaxx is a very good team although their record may not show it, but if you closely at their results you can see ties and close results so we had to be really focused today," said Smyrniotis.

"The guys took the tactical match-plan well and it got us the three points."

Smyrniotis was also happy to have Kadell Thomas back in the team, with the player clearly on a high after a two goal outing.

"This is his second game since getting back from the U.S. and this is what we expect of him," Smyrniotis said.

"It was good for him in these early games to get a couple goals and keep his confidence going and although we have a lot of options it is good to see the guys buy into the rotation system that we have going."

Sanjaxx Lions will next play TFC III on Sunday May 28 at Kia Training Ground, Toronto.

Sigma FC will next play Windsor Stars on Sunday May 28 at University Of Windsor, Windsor.
