Oakville Blue Devils and Sanjaxx Lions met for the second time inside a week, and this time the Devils reversed the previous result after getting a 1-0 away win over Lions following Gurjot Uppal's (81') strike.

Keeper Mike Constanzo claimed the clean sheet.

"We dominated the entire game so our concern wasn't so much that we were going to concede a goal so much as if it would be 0-0 at the final whistle," said Oakville head coach, Duncan Wilde.

"In the last twenty minutes we changed tactics a bit due to injury, but also we needed to put further pressure on the defence," he added.

"It paid off." The goal came from a throw-in from a sub to another sub that headed it in. We're now looking forward to our last game and a chance to get another three points."

Sanjaxx head coach, Laza Lowe, commented on a gritty contest that he felt could have gone either way.

"It was physical, but it was competitive," he said. "I thought we were good, but we could have been better. If you want to do well in this league you must be able to match the opponent, but it's a learning experience for us."

"It would be nice to get the result, but at the moment that is not the main focus for us. I thought we were competitive throughout the game, and we can build from there."
