Oakville Blue Devils scored one at the final whistle to come up with a hard fought 2-2 draw against visitors North Mississauga SC in men's western division action.

"We're just disappointed, really disappointed," said Oakville head coach, Duncan Wilde. "We are playing really well in spells and then very very poorly in other spells. We cannot find our game rhythm, we cannot find our consistency. We keep going off the gameplan. When it's good in spells you can see our quality, but it's just not for long enough periods and until we play for longer periods of the game the way we know we can play we're not going to pick up points. We're going to scramble a little bit."

Both teams produced some start-stop form, with Oakville getting on the board early after Braden Culver (33') slotted home a cross - a lead which the home side would hold until just after the hour mark.

North Miss gathered momentum late in the match however, and sprung to the lead after Shawn Brown (64') opened the scoring for the visitors before Jordan Montoya (70') added another within minutes.

"North Miss played with great energy," said Wilde. "They played off their front man, and their off the ball movement was very good and gave us problems."

"We have to deal with that and we know how to deal with it but we're just not at that level yet. I thought we deserved a point out of the game if not more but it's ultimately disappointing because we're dropping points at home which is a concern for us."

The reigning League1 Ontario champions Oakville Blue Devils had their backs to the wall in the final quarter of the match, but showed hunger and quality to manage the crucial equalizer at the death. With his last-gasp tally, 2015 Golden Boot winner Felipe Vilela (90') got the hosts the point - only the club's second of the still-young 2016 season.

"Defensively we were just okay," said North Missisauga head coach, Rick Titus.

"You have to challenge in the box. If you don't challenge in the box you don't get hands-on. We need to be more active and vigilant in the box or we will continue to get scored on like that. We gave up a similar one last week and it's something we're going to have to work on in the week."

"We scored a couple goals today so we should have been able to come out of there with a 2-1 win."
