Three League1 Ontario alumni will take the pitch against England in a youth international match on Easter Sunday March 27 at Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster, England.

Midfielders Duwayne Ewart (Vaughan 2015) and Liam Fraser (TFC Senior Academy 2015), along with fullback Marcus Godinho (TFC Senior Academy 2014), were selected for the week-long international camp that features a mix of players born between 1996-2000.

Two more League1 alumni - Tristan Borges (TFC Senior Academy 2015) and Luca Uccello (TFC Senior Academy 2014) - were also part of the original selection

"There is a real spirit between the two nations," said Rob Gale, Canada Soccer's Men's National U-20 Coach, in an interview with canadasoccer.com

"We are both testing players for senior-level football down the line, so there was some excellent collaboration between staff from both federations."

The team have been in England training since March 21, and Canada lost a mid-week behind-closed-doors exhibition test against England by a 4-1 scoreline. Toronto FC's Jordan Hamilton scored the lone marker for Canada.

"We wanted to let the players express themselves in this test, especially against an experienced side like England," said Gale. "It was interesting to see who stood up well to the test. From a development process, it was very helpful."

The Easter Sunday March 27 match will be open to the general public at Keepmoat Stadium (16:00 GMT/ 11:00 EST k.o.; tickets available via doncasterroversfc.co.uk).
