A key member of Durham United FC's midfield for the 2015 League1 Ontario campaign, Kristian Lee-Him has been signed to Slovenian third division side MNK Izola.

Lee-Him was a product of the Sigma FC academy system before going to Durham United's senior men's side playing in League1 Ontario. Lee-Him quickly made an impression at the east-end Toronto club.

"After joining us a few weeks into the season, Kristen’s commitment and hard work were evident from the very first training session," said Durham United FC head coach, Sanford Carabin.

"Once he got his chance... he never left the starting 11."

"When I look back, I think Kristian was 14 or 15 when he first started training with us, and became part of our original team that joined SAAC in 2009," said Sigma FC technical director Bobby Smyrniotis.

"He came back every year after university etc., and is a good player that can play box-to-box in midfield - a very technical player that gets to goal well. He has worked very hard to get better and it's his work ethic and desire that has kept him going. Before being signed, he was in Italy playing with some groups, and was seen in a friendly match there. This is a great step for him, and it will give him valuable exposure."
