Pro Stars women are in a three-match unbeaten run in League1 Ontario league play, adding a convincing matchweek eight 3-0 victory over ANB Futbol to their winning record. Within a minute of each other, Holly Han (23') and Emily Borgmann (24') opened the scoring for Pro Stars, while Keona Simmonds (73') finished off the game late in the second half. Madison Taylor registered the clean sheet.

"It was another outstanding performance by goalie Madison Taylor," said Pro Stars' head coach Benjamin Falkenstein. "Midfield trio of Loncar, Falkenstein and Bradeau were outstanding, controlling possession and tempo, and new signing Holly Han had a great brace."

PFC: MARTINA LONCAR

"Our emotional balance was gone after going two nil down," said ANB assistant coach Dave Rodgers. "From that moment until the final whistle, we chased the game."

As Pro Stars continues to impress with recent form, Falkenstein pointed to a training ground focus on certain technical and psychological fundamentals - as well as the addition of some key players, such as Han - that has been helping the team.

PFC: EMILY BORGMANN

"Key moments were playing to team pattern and patience," he said. "We recognized our key opportunities early and capitalized on them. We shall continue to integrate our newer players over the days to come and continue to work hard on the training ground."

For ANB's young squad, the loss is just one step in a development pathway set out by the technical staff.

PFC: KEONA SIMMONDS

"I have no problem with the players, this is good group," commented Rodgers. "With seven of the eleven starters being 18 or under, its a two year window for us as coaches to help them compete."
