A rampant Vaughan Azzurri scored three in the first fifteen minutes en route to a convincing 8-1 result over Pro Stars F.C. For the Azzurri, Austin Ricci (4', 22', 48')  scored three, Joey Cicchillo (2', 9') provided two, while Mario Kovacevic (37'), Darren Gertiesingh (73') and Stefan Popovic (19') added one apiece. Pro Stars' Thomas Winski (15') added the lone marker for the visitors.

"Austin Ricci was a standout as he scored a hat trick," said Azzurri assistant coach, Patrice Gheisar. "All well earned goals, and timely goals, which helped us achieve our goal of winning."

"We scored in the first five minutes and continued to score another two in the first fifteen," he added. "As good as this is, sometimes your teams starts to relax and allows the opponent to claw its way back."

"We lost the game in fifteen minutes, it was a difficult challenge to keep the team motivated," revealed Pro Stars head coach, Josef Komlodi. "Michael Borowski had the best performance for our team, he kept a composure even during this difficult game."

Both groups have very different tasks ahead, with Vaughan facing the challenge of keeping pace at the top of the table, while Pro Stars must quickly find inspiration in a one-sided defeat.

"Scoring so many goals will hopefully allow us to gain confidence in the right manner and not be too confident before playing a dangerous TFC team," said Gheisar. "Our guys will be working hard this week as they prepare for the upcoming match."

"We are restructuring the team, and will focus on regaining confidence," added Komlodi.
