Pro Stars' Tashana Christie (21') put the visitors ahead 1-0, but Vaughan's Kodee Williams (61') made sure the home side would get at least a point from the fixture.

"The turning point was gaining significant possession in the first half, which resulted in Pro Stars taking the lead," explained Pro Stars head coach, Benjamin Falkenstein.

"Pro Stars were then set on their collective heels with over a dozen successive free kicks awarded against them," he added.

Both sides fielded some excellent young talent, clearly looking forward to 2016 development with neither side able to challenge league leaders Durham United at this late stage of the season.

"For Pro Stars, Adrienne Devlin and Madison Hudson were outstanding in defence, while Sami Falkenstein provided the passing in midfield," said Falkenstein.

"For Vaughan, young players Amanda Cancian (defence) and Ashley Plante (forward) were excellent, and we were surprised to see them withdrawn from play early."
