It took Durham United FC until late in the first half before Sabrina McNeil (39') nailed one in off the post, and the visitors had to play most of the second half down a player after captain Kayla DeSouza was dismissed in the 52nd minute, but the black and gold team from east Toronto dug deep to win the match 4-0, and clinch the inaugural League1 Ontario women's title.

Hollie Babut (70') added to the first tally with an expertly dispatched free kick, before Geneva Winterink (71', 84') bagged a brace to ensure Durham would walk away with all the laurels.
