Durham's Geneva Winterink (52') continued her remarkable goal-scoring form of late for the League1 Ontario 2015 women's champions, Durham United FC, opening the scoring for the visitors in the second half versus hosts Vaughan Azzurri and bringing her total to 10 goals - enough to earn joint-sixth spot in the women's goalscoring chart.

The Azzurri's Aisha Lewis (74') replied for the home side with just over a quarter hour remaining in the match, and a 1-1 draw at the final whistle was perhaps a fair result considering there was very little between the two teams throughout the season.

Both sides have also nailed down their end of season finishing positions in the women's standings.

Durham finished champions in the inaugural year of women's League1 Ontario competition with 44 points, a win-loss-draw record of 14-2-2, and 69 goals for and eight goals against. The champs had the best offensive and defensive record in the division, by a significant margin.

Vaughan ended the season in third place with 35 points, a record of 10-5-3, and 50 goals for and 21 goals against. Vaughan is currently second in the league for the best offensive and defensive record, with second place Woodbridge yet to play their final two 2015 matches.
