Three League1 Ontario Players Called To Canada U20 Women's Team

On the road to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016, Canada have announced their 20-player roster for the 2015 CONCACAF Women's Under-20 Championship.

Three of those players selected hail from League1 Ontario.

Rylee Foster (Vaughan Azzurri), Martina Loncar (Pro Stars FC) and Alexandria Lamontagne (Durham United) will all be in Canada squad who will participate in the eight-team CONCACAF finals from 3-13 December in San Pedro Sula, HON.

Loncar was a second-team all-star in League1 Ontario. Lamontagne was a first-team all-star in League1 Ontario. Two other players - Vital Kats, Mika Richards - were registered to GS United but played several 2015 matches for League1 side Pro Stars FC on temporary permits.

The Canada selection, headed by U-20 coach Daniel Worthington, features players born 1996 or later. Next year's FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016 runs 13 November to 3 December 2016.

VAUGHAN: RYLEE FOSTER

Canada's 20-player team will travel to San Pedro Sula on Monday 30 November after a brief camp in Sunrise, FL, USA. Canada will play their three group matches at Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano during the competition, with matches scheduled on 3 December (Trinidad and Tobago, 17.00 local), 5 December (Jamaica, 15.00 local), and 7 December (Honduras, 19.30).

From two four-nation groups, the top four will advance to the knock out face, with the semi finals on 11 December and the Match for 3rd place and Final Match on 13 December. The top-three nations will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016.
