Canadian Premier League: Gheisar, Smyrniotis, Wheeldon Jr. nominated for Coach of the Year

The Canadian Premier League announced on Monday the nominees for the Coach of the Year award, honouring best coach in the league during the 2023 regular season.

The Diamond Back: Vaughan Soccer Club has supplied Maryland men’s soccer with a wealth of Canadian talent

Kimani Stewart-Baynes dominated League1 Ontario’s reserve division. The standout Maryland freshman scored 17 goals in 14 matches with his U-19 Vaughan Soccer Club team, leading his squad to a league title in 2022.

The Varsity: A League1 Victory: Valentina Greco’s journey balancing a student-athlete lifestyle

On August 5, the League1 Ontario team, Alliance United, was awarded its first Premier Women’s Division Trophy in a 2–1 victory against National Development Centre Ontario. The team consists of Varsity Blues finest: seven alumnae, four current Varsity Blues staff, and 12 Blues women’s soccer players, all led to triumph by head coach Angelo Cavalluzzo.
