Toronto, ON – (January 26, 2023) League1 Ontario today announced an extension of its partnership with Peel Regional Police, an Official Program Partner of the League1 Women's Program.

The multi-year extension will see Peel Regional Police continue to promote its services and employment opportunities at Women’s Program events hosted by League1 Ontario, including the Women’s Premier Division Championship Finals and the Women’s Reserve Division Championship Finals. Peel Regional Police will also be the official presenting partner of the League1 Ontario Women's Premier Division Championship Final’s Most Valuable Player award.

"We are very excited to welcome Peel Regional Police back as an official Program Partner for the League1 Ontario Women's Program," said Dino Rossi, Executive Chairman of League1 Ontario.

"A career in policing can be an outstanding pathway for women and we are pleased to have the opportunity to work with Peel Regional Police to educate our players on the opportunities that are available to them through this partnership.”

League1 Ontario is owned and managed by Canadian Soccer Business.

Peel Regional Police previously partnered with League1 Ontario from 2017 to 2019, a pairing that aimed to provide Ontario’s top female soccer talent with potential career opportunities. The partnership played a role in Peel Regional Police’s efforts to become an employer of choice for female applicants.

"I am excited to resume our partnership with League1 Ontario, one of Canada’s largest high-performance and premier sporting organizations," said Peel Regional Police Deputy Mark Dapat.

"Being a part of a team facilitates the development of many of the qualities required to be successful in policing and in life. These qualities include leadership, teamwork, fitness, perseverance, and resilience. Peel Regional Police looks forward to partnering with League1 and supporting some of the best athletes in Ontario."
