Applications open to become an L1O MDOC

Applications have opened to become a Match Day Operations Coordinator for League1 Ontario in 2023.

L1O is searching for ambitious individuals who are passionate about sport and event management to help provide an outstanding gameday experience for players, coaches, match officials, and fans both in venue and online.

The MDOC’s role is to ensure clubs comply with the standards and quality levels that come with being an L1O license holder, as well as to support the L1O communications team through social media and compiling post-game reports.

L1O is currently looking for MDOCs especially from the following areas: Windsor, London, Peterborough, Barrie, St. Catharines.

League1 Ontario Managing Director Matthew Braithwaite said: “This is a great opportunity for people of all ages in the Ontario region to play their part in the Canadian soccer experience and growth of the game.

“We are looking for self-motivated individuals with strong communication and organization skills who will relish managing L1O gamedays and uphold the league’s quality standards. 

“Training will be provided to every successful applicant, and the MDOC role will develop skills and knowledge in sports and events management which may open the door for a future career in the industry.
