Playoffs clinched

Week 13 was the penultimate gameweek in the Women’s Premier Division and five of the six playoff teams have been decided. League leaders NDC Ontario won 2-0 against FC London on Friday with Amanda Allen scoring a brace.

That’s two losses on the bounce for FC London who were defeated by North Toronto Nitros at the start of Week 13; the Nitros then won 4-1 against Darby to ensure they have a slight advantage over Alliance United and Electric City in the race for the final playoff spot.

Alliance United were 6-1 winners against Burlington at the weekend and Electric City also won big, scoring four against BVB IA Waterloo.

Despite their dip in form, you’ll be seeing FC London in the postseason, as well as Simcoe County Rovers who were victorious in both their men’s and women’s games during their doubleheader on Saturday. The women’s team scored a total of 11 goals in two games in Week 13 against Pickering and ProStars.

Vaughan Azzurri are just one point behind the leaders after Kalifornia Mitchell’s brace helped them to three points against St Catharines Roma Wolves.
