Finish From FC Oshawa's Sona Makulova Wins The 2019 League1 Ontario Women's Goal Of The Year

After two rounds of voting, a finish from FC Oshawa's Sona Makulova against Unionville Milliken SC on June 16 has been selected as the 2019 League1 Ontario Women's Goal of the Year!

Following a public poll that narrowed the field to five top goals from the season, the shortlist advanced to a final round of voting by an internal League1 panel.

In no particular order, the final five shortlist was comprised of:

Julia Benati (FC London) - June 8 v DeRo United

Sona Makulova (FC Oshawa) - June 16 v Unionville Milliken SC

Vital Kats (DeRo United) - June 18 v Unionville Milliken SC

Jessie Faber (Vaughan SC) - July 28 v Aurora FC

Marisa Oliveira (FC London) - May 5 v Vaughan SC
