Diamond Simpson bagged a brace along with Lauren Hart's goal as Woodbridge Strikers grabbed a 3-0 win over Aurora FC.

Woodbridge started the match very aggressively. Right off the bat, Lauren Hart's strike from outside the box rattled the bar and Aurora keeper Meaghan Phillips denied first April Syme and then Katalin Tolnai in follow-up attempts.

In five minutes, Syme's shot clipped the post and ten minutes later, Aurora keeper Phillips denied Hart in a one-on-one situation.

In the rest of the first half, Woodbridge kept dominating the game but couldn't find a breakthrough.

Just two minutes after the restart, Tolani was brought down inside the box and Woodbridge were awarded a penalty which was perfectly buried by Diamond Simpson (48').

Simpson (55') quickly followed up with another finish, unleashing a rocket on a free-kick straight at the goal. Phillips got her hand to it, but it was powerful enough to go in anyway.

Ivana Kanisek, just four minutes after coming off the bench, put Hart (69') in a one-on-one situation with the keeper and she rounded Phillips to finally put her name on the score sheet.

Minutes before the final whistle, Woodbridge could have scored another goal but Syme, who was free at the edge of the box, saw her finish drift inches wide.

Woodbridge Strikers will next play FC London on July 20 (7 p.m.) at German Canadian FC Stadium Field, London.

Aurora FC will next play Oakville Blue Devils on July 21 (2 p.m.) at Sheridan Trafalgar Campus, Oakville.

Bayley Sullivan inspired FC Oshawa with two fantastic crosses for Katie Nippard and Tianna Harris to finish, beating Vaughan Azzurri 2-0, although keeper Sarah Forde was decisive with a series of clutch saves.

It just took just minutes to break the deadlock, as Bayley Sullivan crossed the ball from the left side for Katie Nippard (3'), who controlled the ball and finished it low from close range.

Six minutes later, Mikayla Moser burst to the byline and pulled back for Jamila Thombs but Vaughan keeper Katrina Haarmann saved her low shot from six yards.

The league leader actually woke up after those incidents and created three chances through Faber, Colleen Beesley, and Haley Walsh - all denied by FC Oshawa keeper Sarah Forde.

The rest of the first half was balanced, though it was again FC Oshawa who found the net.

Sullivan whipped a corner into the six-yard box and Tianna Harris' (42') header was denied by Vaughan keeper Haarmann, but Harris was quick enough to nod in the rebound.

Vaughan came out swinging after the restart but FC Oshawa keeper Forde put in a stellar performance between the posts to keep them out of the score sheet. Her best save was made at the 50th minutes when she parried a Faber attempt from close range out for a corner.

In most of the second half, Vaughan dominated the possession and created chances but FC Oshawa keeper Forde was just unbeatable. FC Oshawa were sure not to concede first and then looked to find another goal through counterattacks.

Vaughan then created some other chances through Faber, Christina Morelli and Leah Pais, most of which were shots from the edge of the box and saved by FC Oshawa keeper Forde.

It was not much of a stretch to say the game actually was a duel between Vaughan striker Faber and FC Oshawa keeper Forde; Faber tried to find the net through different approaches and from almost every angle but Forde was in astonishing form and kept a clean sheet to play a big role in her team victory.

Vaughan Azzurri will next play Alliance United FC on July 21 (2 p.m.) at Mount Joy Turf, Markham.

FC Oshawa will next play North Mississauga SC on July 20 (7 p.m.) at Civic Stadium, Oshawa.

FC London's Jade Kovacevic led her team to a dominating 9-0 win on home soil over visitors North Mississauga Panthers.

Kovacevic (6', 60', 65', 66') found the back of the net four times in six minutes as she continues to top the women's scoring charts with 19 goals so far this season.

Chelsea Zavitz (3', 45' + 1') would get her first goals of the season, while Julia Benati (45', 75') and Marisa Oliveira (78') got on the score sheet as well.

FC London outplayed their opposition, maintaining nearly all the possession and pinning North Mississauga in their half, and knocking 18 shots on target and  nine off.

North Mississauga did well to play a high back-line, catching the home side offside 21 times.

FC London will next play Woodbridge Strikers on July 20 (7 p.m.) at German Canadian FC Stadium Field.

North Mississauga Panthers will next play FC Oshawa on July 20 (7 p.m.) at Civic Stadium, Oshawa.

A complete Oakville Blue Devil attack stepped on the gas pedal until the final whistle, and didn' let up as they cruise to a 8-0 victory over Unionville-Milliken SC at Sheridan College on Sunday.

Competing for the top spot in the table, Oakville scored four in each half with six different scorers on the day. Two Blue Devils nabbed braces.

Mahira Ali (21') beat Unionville goalkeeper McKenna Gemmell to a lob into the box, heading the chance into the net for the opening goal to make it 1-0.

Oakville continued to throw everything toward the Unionville goal. Two shots were cleared off the line after a scramble in the box off a corner kick, but Sarah Stratigakis (28') finished the third chance to double the lead.

Not long after, Leanne Forker (32') found space at the top of the box to curl her shot into the corner.

Jivan Yacou (44') finished the half with complete momentum for her side when she calmly slotted a one-on-one chance to bring the lead to 4-0.

Stratigakis (56') finished another opportunity off a set-piece, this time heading the ball to ripple the back of the net and make it 5-0.

Substitute Shauna Lee sped up the middle to blast a shot past the goalkeeper, and Maria Poveda (71') pounced on a rebound to make it 7-0 for the Blue Devils.

Ali (82') finished her brace and the game after she rounded Gemmell to make it 8-0.

Gemmell was valiant in goal as she made four saves to keep the deficit from reaching double digits. Meanwhile, the young Unionville players found it difficult to muster an attack against the Blue Devil defence amid the heat of the afternoon sun.

Oakville Blue Devils (9-2-0) finish the day with 27 points, and their goal differential is at +32 (42 GF, 10 GA).

Oakville Blue Devils will next play Aurora FC on July 21 (2 p.m.) at Sheridan College, Oakville.

Unionville-Milliken SC (3-4-4) finish the afternoon with 13 points, and their goal differential is at -8 (13 GF, 21 GA).

Unionville Milliken will next play Darby FC on July 19 (8 p.m.) at Clarington Field, Oshawa.
