Alliance's Praveen Ahilan held his ground in goal to shut down Master's Futbol Academy in a 0-0 draw at L'Amoreaux Sports Facility, Toronto on Saturday evening.

After missing the previous game due to injury, the Alliance keeper made four important saves to earn his eighth clean sheet of the season while also extending his team's s undefeated streak to 11 matches.

Masters controlled possession for most of the game, but they were unable to find the a final pass or finish.

Ahilan's first test of the game came at the 29th minute when Masters' Reshaun Walkes cracked a right-footed shot at the far side corner from the top of the box. Ahilan reacted quickly to make the diving fingertip save and put the ball out for a corner.

Stefan Nikolic launched a shot from distance with his left foot in the 44th minute only for Ahilan to make a diving catch to keep the game scoreless.

Anwar Al-Sawi came close to giving Masters FA the lead in the dying minutes of the first half, but his shot rang off the post before going out for a goal kick.

Masters continued to press for a goal to start the second term, forcing Ahilan to drop low for a stop in the 47th minute. He made his final save, the biggest of them, as he dove with quick reflexes in the 62nd minute to parry out Atif Muhammad Ali's shot that was destined for the back of the net.

Soon after, Alliance were inches away from taking the lead. Jacob Maurutto-Robinson fired a shot from distance only for it to smack off the crossbar.

Masters' goalkeeper Daniel Gosciniak was not to be outdone on the night as he blocked Anselmo Kim's shot in the 87th minute, his third and final save to keep his team's first clean sheet of the season in the scoreless draw.

With a playoff spot already secure, Alliance (8-0-3) sits in the top-three of the table with 27 points. Their goal differential is at +14 (18 GF, 4 GA).

Alliance have yet to face the rest of the top-four teams in the league, but they will start the difficult section of the season next week.

Alliance will next play Sigma FC at Mt. Joy Turf, Markham on July 21 (5 p.m.).

Masters Futbol Academy (6-2-3) sit comfortably in fifth place with their playoff destiny in their own hands. Their goal differential is at +8 (23 GF, 15 GA).

Masters will next play Vaughan Azzurri at L'Amoreaux Sports Facility, Toronto on July 20 (8 p.m.).

Two second half goals by Evan James (49', 64') were enough for Oakville Blue Devils to get by Pro Stars FC in a Saturday night game at Applewood Heights Secondary School in Mississauga.

Oakville controlled much of the play of the game, right from the opening whistle, and pressed incessantly for goals. Despite the heat, both teams looked to play a quick tempo, and were probably quite relieved to have the water breaks added to the match for the sweltering field conditions early on.

The Blue Devils had thought they found their first goal in the 32nd minute as a free kick was smartly played around several helpless Pro Stars defenders and fired into the net. Unfortunately, the flag was up for offside, much to the disappointment of Oakville's bench.

The Blue Devils finally got their breakthrough shortly after the restart of the second half. Evan James took a shot as he came toward Pro Stars keeper Christian Campanico that was partially blocked, but the ball managed to bounce over the line to put Oakville up 1-0.

James added to his first goal just after the hour mark, beating Campanico with a much cleaner finish and doubling the Oakville lead.

Although Pro Stars looked more threatening, possession still favoured the Blue Devils up to the final whistle, and it took a great save from Campanico to push another Oakville shot over the bar and keep the score 2-0 by the final whistle.

With the win, Oakville Blue Devils have a record of 9-1-1 (28 points) and are in a commanding high-table position heading into the playoff period.

Meanwhile, Pro Stars FC fall to a record of 3-6-2; through eleven games this season, they have eleven points and sit in eleventh spot in the league.

Pro Stars FC will next play OSU Force on July 20 (6 p.m.) at Quinn's Pointe, Ottawa.

Oakville will next play FC London on July 20 (5 p.m.) at Sheridan College, Oakville.

Tyrone Mulder's bicycle kick and Ard Dieker's header registered a second win of the season for Windsor TFC after a 2-0 result over OSU Force.

OSU's goal drought extends to 985 minutes with the defeat, while Windsor TFC started the match aggressively and found the net after eight minutes. It was a moment of magic when a six foot plus Tyrone Mulder (8') smashed a bicycle kick goal at full stretch from 15 yards after Christian Mayorga's cross from the right side.

At 25 minutes the game was halted due to weather conditions and restarted again after almost 20 minutes.

The visitors dominated possession for the rest of the first half and could have doubled the lead at the 31st minute when Leonardo Fereirra DaSilva put Jonathan Agapito through on a low pass, but he was denied by OSU Force keeper Gabriel Cinanni and DaSilva mis-kicked the follow-up.

In the first half, OSU Force did very little at the attacking end. They tried twice from outside the box and Windsor keeper Kaneen Fells had no trouble to control these long-range efforts.

OSU Force had the better of the early play in the second half, but Windsor TFC quickly took the possession and pushed forward looking to extend the lead.

On 62 minutes Agapito's strike from the edge of the box was parried away by OSU Force keeper Cinanni. Twelve  minutes later, Windsor TFC doubled the lead as Da Silva (74') whipped the ball into the box from the left side and Ard Dieker scored with a header from point-blank range to seal his side's second win of the season.

OSU Force will next play ProStars FC on July 20 (5 p.m.) at Quinn's Pointe, Ottawa.

Windsor TFC will next play Durham United FA on July 19 (8 p.m.) at University of Windsor Stadium, Windsor.

Sigma came away with all three points after showcasing a good display against Unionville Milliken SC at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, Mississauga on Saturday, beating them 5-3 after a Goldhar brace. (63', 73').

Sigma started the game well, managing to get on the front foot and take the game into their hands, but they were matched by a gritty and combative Unionville side that didn’t easily give anything to their opponents.

Around the half-hour, the momentum of the match was killed momentarily due to an extreme weather call. After a thirty minute stop, both teams were brought onto the pitch to continue battling and shortly after Sigma would find the breakthrough thanks to a goal from close range by Triantafillou (34').

Sigma would continue to exert their dominance on this match by doubling their lead from a neat finish in the box by Stoddart (49'). Unionville's persistence in trying to find a goal paid off when Flynn (59') would get a goal back for his side and put his team in contention to level the match.

Soon after Sigma's Goldhar (63') would find himself through on goal with only Unionville's keeper Carbone to beat, and made the most of this opportunity with a cheeky dink over the keeper and into the back of the net, restoring the two goal cushion for his side.

Unionville would just not give up, and Trivine Espirit (64') immediately responded by
smashing home from close range after having the ball put on a platter for him to finish.

The goalfest would continue when Goldhar (73') got his brace and Allen (80') would score a lovely goal by beating his man with a quick turn and firing home.

Unionville weren't done here though and this time Hayden Clarke (85') had his own say, scoring a beautiful free kick from roughly 25 yards out from the right side of the box - a lovely curler with his left boot, up and over the wall and into the top right corner.

Sigma FC will next play Alliance United on July 21 (5 p.m.) at Mt. Joy Turf, Markham.

Unionville Milliken will next play Darby on July 20 (7 p.m.) at Mt. Joy Turf, Markham.
