Masters FA Saints got off on the right foot in their Matchweek 13 home fixture versus Toronto FC III, as Jose De Sousa (11') finished a penalty well.

However, Nicholas Osorio (22', 60') scored his first of a two-goal night to equalize, and with teammate Jordan Faria (50') bagging a single the Junior Reds rolled away victors after a 3-1 final scoreline.

"We conceded a bad penalty and I think it really woke us up," said TFC III head coach, Danny Dichio.

"We reacted very well, we scored a good goal and what we spoke in our objectives before the game today our boys applied."

"I'm also very happy for Osorio, who just came back from injury and got his two goals tonight, but it was a solid team performance tonight. He's a player that brings a lot of energy to us. He has a tremendous work ethic and he has desire and passion to play football. He brings a lot to the team and we miss him when he is not playing."

Masters head coach Rick Titus was happy with the way his side started the match, putting TFC under pressure and forcing them to cough up a penalty, but the Saints couldn't maintain their momentum.

"Fitness was the difference," said Titus. "TFC guys train five days a week, they are prepared and have good coaches. Some teams in League1, guys have to work, and you don't get them as much as you need to work on organization and preparation and it was indicative of the final score today."

"But [Masters] kept fighting, kept trying to win and do the right things," he added.

"It got a bit chippy because they were playing against players that are quick, have good touches, and you need to cover more ground. It was a difficult game but we had good chances. We had chances that could have made the game a little more interesting."

Masters FA Saints will next play Oakville Blue Devils on July 30 at Sheridan College, Oakville.

Toronto FC III will next play Woodbridge Strikers on July 30 at Vaughan Grove, Woodbridge.
