Abdulrahman Akinwande (63') scored the lone goal in the contest as OSU Force defeated Windsor TFC 1-0 in the second game of a Matchweek 12 double-header for both sides.

"Tactically I made a change in terms of the team composition for starting this game," said OSU Force head coach, Traian Matheas. "I took a risk."

"I started the players that didn't play yesterday, they held the score line to 0-0 in the second half. And I knew, we all knew in the second half that we would take care of the ball. We did and we were way ahead on possession and we could've scored three goals."

"But even one is good and I am happy with that."

Fatigue showed for both sides as the match drew on, with Windsor being punished for a defensive error that led to the goal, and missing a crucial chance at points through a missed penalty.

"I think we basically controlled the whole game," said Windsor head coach, Zibby Piatkiewicz.

"Maybe in the last 20-25 minutes we just ran out of gas. You know, the way they scored, once again we talked about drilling at the back. One guy slipped, one guy lost the ball and there you go. One chance that they had the whole game and they took it."

"We created chances," he added. "But we missed a penalty shot, which can't happen, you have to put that kind of chance away."

"We had chances where we could score but we just didn't put it away. We needed a final pass to get the ball in the net, but it didn't happen. We only have ourselves to blame for the loss."

Windsor TFC will next play Durham United FA on July 23 at University of Windsor, Windsor.

OSU Force will next play Sanjaxx Lions on July 22 at Terry Fox South, Ottawa.
