North Mississauga's Cassandra Briscoe (5', 31', 42', 48') snagged four goals and along with goals from teammates Victoria Jacobs (35') and Jenny Wolever (50') the Panthers won a lopsided 6-0 result over Aurora FC in Matchweek 12.

"You always scout the teams before and you see their weaknesses and your strengths, and that is how you organize your game, and your team," said North Mississauga team official, Mladen Vugrinicek.

"I told the girls to look for the net anywhere inside 20 yards. If you don't shoot, you will never score. We are very happy with how the girls played as a unit today, from the keeper through to the striker and that is the main point. As you can see, we didn't need to give lots of instructions. The players are smart and they know what to do. We give them some tactical ideas and they do all the job. All congrats go to them."

A clean sheet was also secured by North Mississauga's Vanessa Fiore - her third of the season - and stood for the fluency North Miss have shown in the defensive phase of the game.

"This year it is amazing," said Vugrinicek.

"We have conceded maybe one or two shots per game and that is it. It is not just the keeper and two centre-backs, Christina White and Kira Bertrand, but the two fullbacks and Victoria [Jacobs] at holding mid as well."

"It is the best back four in the league in my opinion."

Aurora tried to take a more attacking stance in the second half, pushing numbers forward, but also had to deal with an injury to their keeper and Canada U17 player, Patricia Koutoulas.

"We changed to a back three and we wanted to have a little more offence," said Aurora team official Peter Bulford.

"We were hoping to catch them in the first five to ten minutes and hopefully score a couple goals and get back into it. It didn't work out that way, but we did try to be more offensive."

"We wanted the wingbacks to get more involved and kept the two upfront. It just didn't transform for us, we weren't making proper passes and that is why it broke down for us."

"Patricia was injured." he added. "She took a ball in the face and showed some concussion symptoms so it was a good choice in that sense."

Aurora FC will next play Unionville Milliken on July 22 at Bill Crothers Turf, Unionville.

North Mississauga Panthers will next play Darby FC on July 22 at Hershey Centre, Mississauga.
