Windsor TFC's sibling duo of Michael Pio (6', 47') and Noah Pio (8', 22', 62', 88') combined for an incredible six goals to defeat Aurora FC 6-1 on Matchweek 12.

"We played 4-2-3-1 and it shaped our strategy of how we would approach this game," said Windsor head coach, Zibby Piatkiewicz.

"To have Michael Pio back and then to have both Pio brothers in the team really helps. As you can see, one scored four and one scored two so we can just deal with that."

Michael Caguana (68') got the consolation goal for Aurora, but it was too little too late from the hosts after the Pio brothers ran rampant in the first hour especially.

"If you give Noah Pio a lot of room, he is going to put it away every single time," said Piatkiewicz. "I think he missed only a couple times. It was good for him today."

Aurora changed to a more attacking 3-4-3 shape to try and get back into the game in the second half, and were successful in launching considerably more attacks and creating chances, but the opportunities could not be capitalized upon.

"We did create quite a bit more in the second half," said Aurora technical director, Dave Di Placido.

"I think we had two or three breakaways, a penalty shot, two or three free kicks around the box. We created more but we weren't happy with some of the goals we conceded, I think we could have done better defensively. I don't think we handled the situation properly in a couple individual situations. It's something good that I think we can implement from time to time though, although it didn't work out today."

Aurora FC will next play FC London on July 21 at German Canadian Club, London.

Windsor TFC will next play Durham United FA on July 23 at University of Windsor Stadium, Windsor.
