West division leaders Aurora FC faced an uphill climb in Matchweek 11 after Matthew Caguana (17') scored first for hosts Aurora FC, but new Sigma FC signing Moe Babouli (59') got the ball rolling early in the second half before teammates Johnny Grant (66') and Kadell Thomas (70') put the game to bed.

"Sigma played how we thought they would in the first half," said Aurora head coach, Derek O'Keeffe. They are a very good team in wide areas and like to get their fullbacks up. I thought we really frustrated them in the first half, and we countered and got a goal, so with the first half performance I couldn't have been happier with the boys. They ran, their work-rate was tremendous, and I think we nullified Sigma."

"But we just couldn't maintain it," he added. We didn't have a game last weekend, which I think affected us. We just tired, we tired and our fitness wasn't there. We have some injuries and some new boys coming in as well that don't have that match sharpness. I think that little bit of class from them, that little bit of detail, just showed in the end."

Sigma head coach Bobby Smyrniotis was happy with his team's response to conceding early in the match, and particularly impressed with the contribution of goalscorer Babouli, who was recently released by MLS side Toronto FC.

"Moe is a good player obviously and a lot of people know him from where he was before," said Smyrniotis.

"He's been training with us in the past in the off-season so we know him as a good person and a good player. For him it is a matter of getting minutes and getting fit. He hasn't played a game in a long time and it doesn't matter what type of player you are, or what league you are playing in, it is important to get match fitness. We expect him to help us out in the front end to get the necessary goal to unlock games. He did it today in his first appearance and I think it'll just get better as we keep going."

"But what I am happiest with is that we scored three goals, three very good goals, with a lot of movement from wide positions," he continued.

"We created a lot more and dominated the half so again we are happy. Three points and another win and we move on to the next match."

Aurora FC will next play Windsor TFC on July 15 at St. Maximillion Kolbe H.S., Aurora.

Sigma FC will next play OSU Force on July 15 at Hershey Centre, Mississauga.
