OSU Force got back to winning ways in Matchweek Nine after an 8-2 result against visitors Pro Stars FC.

George Anthony El-Asmar (10') and Ibrahim Soukary (11') had the home side off to an ideal start in front of the home fans at Terry Fox Stadium in Ottawa.

However Pro Stars were not about to lie down and Mohammed Ashim (14') and Navid Rahman (18') ensured the scoreline was levelled within minutes.

"I was surprised, to be honest," said OSU Force head coach Traian Matheas.

"After two goals I think the players started to think the game was over and then they got punished. That was what I stressed at half-time. I was absolutely clear with them and made radical changes. They responded and I'm very happy with that."

Abdulrahman Akinwande (47'), Myles Cornwall (66'), Marco Natoli (68'), Stefan Andjelic (81') and Justin Earle (88') finished off their second-half chances to give OSU a five goal haul in just the last forty-five minutes, repaying their manager's faith.

"At the end of the day, they are very hungry to score goals," said Matheas.

"They are hungry to get back on track and I do think that we can. Of course, it is always about what the opposition will allow you to do - that is the game - but we will keep on working and carry on with our plan."

Pro Stars' head coach Josef Komlodi lamented some isolated moments of poor defending that cost his side, and then a collective mental collapse in the face of the goal deluge for OSU.

"We came back and tied the game and then an individual mistake again to go down 3-2," he said. "When we gave up the fourth goal it just killed the team spirit and some of the players just quit on the game unfortunately."

"I think we had some good momentum and moments where we played well, but we gave up some goals that at this level you cannot give away," he added.

"Some really poor individual mistakes and then after we started to panic a little bit, which is usually the sign of a young team. Otherwise it was a good experience."

"I don't like some of the goals and how the result ended up, and clearly we need to train some things a little bit more, but we played a good team and they capitalized on all the mistakes that we had."

OSU Force will next play TFC III on July 1 at Terry Fox South, Ottawa.

Pro Stars FC will next play Aurora FC on June 30 at Avondale Stadium, Brampton.
